Anomalous distortion sensor

Confederation scientists spent a long time studying space that remains warped after a hyper jump. At first they hoped to find forces and particles that keep space in that warped state. They found something else: the warp keeps an imprint of the vector the ship left on. That research produced a sensor that can tell the direction of the jump.
