Plasma turret

Used on medium-caliber spacecraft. The turret is a muzzle-aiming device that directs a superheated plasma clump at a target. Plasma holds enormous energy, allowing high damage per shot. Because plasma moves relatively slowly in space, several independent turrets are usually installed. The turret is not a gun as such; it only handles aiming and firing. A complete gun requires at least one Plasma accumulator. The number of shots per salvo depends on the number of accumulators.
