Using superheated plasma from ionized hydrogen and a photon-induction accelerator, it attacks a fleet of approaching ships with a wave of particles. The total energy hitting a ship is comparable to a multi-ton load. This first depletes the ships' defenses, then destroys the structure, subjecting all of the ship's systems to extreme loads.
